Located in the heart of Chianti Classico' s hills, Podere La Piaggia is a small family business farm. In 1956 the Barneschi family move from Montalcino to Castellina in Chianti begin to work as tenant farmers for the architect Karl G. who fall in love with the zone moved with his wife;

the Barneschi have in self passion for cultivation typical of rural culture.

In the 1970 Podere La Piaggia subscribe to Consorzio del Chianti Classico and enter in wine businnes with good products, thank to perfect vineyards position and soil able to conserve the more and rare european stock vine by filossera attack (a vine disease).So tha farm is studied by botanic university of Firenze. The farm include 2 acres of historic vineyard, implanted in the 1918, anclosed by 1000 olive tree and 20 acres of wood.
